Eldborg is renowned for its acoustics, specifically designed by Artec Consultants Inc., and its striking architectural features. Opened in 2011, Harpa was a key project in Iceland’s recovery following the 2008 financial crisis, intended as a cultural landmark and a symbol of renewal. The hall's design incorporates a distinctive glass façade inspired by basalt columns – a common geological formation in Iceland – and aims to maximize natural light while providing exceptional sound quality.
