Harpa Concert Hall, opened in 2011, is a landmark building in Reykjavik and Iceland’s largest concert and conference centre. Eldborg – Main Hall, the venue for Ollikainen’s performance, is its largest space, boasting a seating capacity of approximately 1,800. Its design is inspired by basalt columns found in Icelandic nature, particularly those at Svartifoss waterfall. The hall's acoustics were meticulously designed by Artec Consultants Inc., aiming for both clarity and warmth suitable for a wide range of musical genres including orchestral performances, choral works, and solo recitals. The reflective glass facade of Harpa plays a significant role in its acoustic properties and distinctive appearance.
