Barbara Hannigan, a Canadian soprano and conductor, will perform at Harpa Concert Hall’s Eldborg – Main Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland on June 3rd, 2027. Harpa Concert Hall opened in 2011 and quickly became a landmark in Reykjavik. Eldborg – its largest hall – boasts a seating capacity of approximately 1,800. The hall's design is integral to its acoustics; it features a geometrically striking façade inspired by Icelandic basalt columns and an interior designed by Henning Larsen Architects with acoustic consultancy from Artec Consultants Inc. Eldborg’s acoustics are specifically engineered to support a broad range of musical genres including orchestral performances, opera, and chamber music. The hall utilizes adjustable elements allowing for customization of the sound based on the specific performance needs.
