The Bad Plus will perform at Alice, Copenhagen, Denmark on July 7th, 2026. The Bad Plus is a jazz trio known for its unique approach to the genre, incorporating elements of rock, pop, and avant-garde music into their interpretations of both original compositions and covers of popular songs. Formed in Minneapolis in 2000, the group—currently consisting of Ethan Iverson, Reid Anderson, and Dave King—became recognized for deconstructing and reimagining standards by artists like Nirvana and Blondie alongside their own intricate instrumental work.

Alice opened in September 2022 as a privately funded cultural center focused on music and the performing arts. Located in a former brewery building in Copenhagen’s Carlsberg Byen district, the venue was established by Nikolaj Frost, founder of the Roskilde Festival. It's designed with a focus on acoustics and intimate concert experiences; its main hall features adjustable acoustic panels and a flexible seating arrangement allowing for varying capacities. Alice aims to present a diverse program encompassing jazz, classical, electronic music, and experimental performance art. The space also includes smaller rehearsal rooms and areas dedicated to community engagement.
