The Bad Plus is an innovative American jazz trio renowned for their genre-defying approach and dynamic performances. Formed in 2000 in Minneapolis, the group originally consisted of pianist Ethan Iverson, bassist Reid Anderson, and drummer Dave King. Known for blending elements of jazz, rock, and avant-garde music, The Bad Plus has carved a unique niche by reimagining popular songs alongside original compositions. After Ethan Iverson’s departure in 2017, pianist Orrin Evans joined the lineup, continuing the group’s legacy with fresh energy while maintaining their signature sound.
