Tapiola Sinfonietta is a Finnish chamber orchestra known for its versatile repertoire spanning from the classical masters to contemporary compositions. The ensemble frequently champions Finnish music and is recognized for its innovative programming and high artistic standard. Founded in 1986, it operates without a permanent artistic director, instead collaborating with guest conductors for each project, fostering a dynamic and fresh approach to performance.

The concert on October 8th, 2026 will be held at Espoo Cultural Centre (Espoon kulttuurikeskus). This multi-purpose arts centre opened in 1993 and serves as a significant cultural hub for the city of Espoo and the surrounding region. Designed by Alvar Aalto’s architectural office, specifically by Elina Paatela and Kai Wartiainen following Aalto’s death, it reflects Aalto's principles of harmonious integration with its environment and functional design.

The centre houses several performance spaces including a concert hall (Espoo City Hall), a theatre, and various exhibition areas. It regularly hosts a diverse range of events encompassing classical music, theatre productions, dance performances, conferences, and art exhibitions.
