Joep Beving is a Dutch composer and pianist known for his neo-classical music, often described as minimalist and atmospheric. His compositions typically feature solo piano, building emotive soundscapes through repetition and subtle harmonic shifts. Beving’s work draws influence from composers like Arvo Pärt and Erik Satie, yet possesses a distinctly contemporary feel, frequently incorporating ambient textures and electronic elements alongside traditional piano arrangements. He gained prominence through self-released recordings on platforms like YouTube before achieving wider recognition with albums such as *Solipsism* and *Henosis*.

The concert will be held at Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki, Finland, on September 19th, 2026. Commonly known as the Rock Church (Pyhäinpäivän kappeli), Temppeliaukio is unique for being built directly into solid rock. Designed by Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, it opened in 1969. The church’s architecture intentionally utilizes the natural granite formations of the surrounding bedrock to create its walls and ceiling.

The interior is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, stemming from both the rock structure and the deliberate use of over 180 glass panels creating a naturally lit space.
