The Glenn Miller Orchestra is scheduled to perform at the H-E-B Performance Hall in San Antonio, Texas on December 22, 2026. The orchestra is renowned for its distinctive big band sound, characterized by a lush arrangement of brass, reeds, and rhythm sections popular during the Swing Era of the 1930s and 40s. Their repertoire includes instrumental pieces like “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” and “Sing Sing Sing”, alongside vocal numbers that defined the era’s dance halls and radio broadcasts. The current orchestra continues to perform and record music in the style established by the original Glenn Miller band, led by Glenn Miller until his disappearance in 1944.

H-E-B Performance Hall, located within the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, opened in September 2014 following extensive renovations to the historic Municipal Auditorium. Originally built in 1926, the Municipal Auditorium hosted a wide range of events including concerts, conventions and sporting competitions. The renovations preserved many of the building’s original architectural features while incorporating modern amenities.
