Ton Koopman will perform at the Großer Saal within Laeiszhalle, Hamburg on April 25, 2027. Koopman is internationally recognized as a pioneering figure in the historically informed performance of Baroque and Renaissance music. Laeiszhalle, opened in 1908, is Hamburg’s primary concert venue and one of Germany’s most prestigious halls. The Großer Saal (“Great Hall”) boasts exceptional acoustics and a capacity of approximately 2,182 seats. Designed by Hermann Ehrhardt Allenstein, its architecture reflects the neo-classical style prevalent at the time of its construction. Throughout its history, Laeiszhalle has hosted performances by numerous celebrated orchestras and soloists; it underwent extensive renovations completed in 2017 to modernize facilities while preserving its historic character.
