Howard Assembly Room is a restored music hall located within the Grand Theatre in Leeds. Originally built in 1878 as a temperance hall – offering entertainment without alcohol – it served various purposes over the years including as a courtroom and storage space. A significant restoration completed in 2009 returned the room to its original function as a performance venue. The space is noted for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, hosting a diverse range of musical performances including classical, jazz, contemporary and world music. It’s designed with flexible seating arrangements allowing for varied event setups.
