The Howard Assembly Room is a restored 18th-century music hall located within the Grand Theatre in Leeds. Originally built as a saloon for theatre patrons in 1906, it underwent significant refurbishment and reopened in 2009 as a dedicated intimate performance space. The room’s design retains many of its original features, including ornate plasterwork and a domed ceiling, creating a unique acoustic environment particularly suited to chamber music, jazz, and contemporary performances. It is recognised for its high-quality sound system and commitment to showcasing diverse musical talent. The space hosts around 80-100 audience members per event offering an immersive experience.
