SASAMI, the musical project of Sabrina Aloui, will be performing at the Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 27, 2026. Aloui’s music is generally described as blending elements of shoegaze, dream pop, and indie rock, often incorporating orchestral arrangements and electronic textures. Her work frequently explores themes of vulnerability, faith, and personal experience, delivered with a distinctive vocal style. She has released two studio albums to date: *You Know I Love It* (2021) and *The Greatest Wish for Everything* (2023), receiving critical acclaim for both.

The Hollywood Theatre originally opened in 1935 as a neighbourhood cinema. Throughout its history it operated primarily as a movie house showing first-run films. In 2010, after facing potential closure due to declining attendance and the rise of multiplex cinemas, it was successfully revitalized through a community fundraising campaign and transitioned into a multi-purpose venue.

Today the Hollywood Theatre continues to screen films but also hosts live music performances, comedy shows, and other events.
