Brecker is a highly influential trumpeter, flugelhornist, composer, and arranger primarily known for his work in jazz fusion. His musical style blends elements of jazz improvisation with funk, rock, and Latin rhythms, often featuring complex harmonies and virtuosic playing. He gained prominence as a founding member of the Brecker Brothers alongside his brother Michael Brecker, and has since maintained a prolific career as a bandleader and sideman, earning numerous Grammy Awards.

Dunkers kulturhus is a cultural center located in Helsingborg, housed within the former department store of the same name – F.W. Dunker & Co. Originally established as a prominent retail establishment in 1915, the building underwent extensive renovation following its closure as a department store in 2010 to become a multi-disciplinary arts venue. It officially opened as Dunkers kulturhus in 2014.

The venue hosts a diverse program encompassing music performances, theatre productions, exhibitions, film screenings and other cultural events.
