Orchester Im Treppenhaus, a German chamber orchestra founded in 1998, is scheduled to perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg on November 11, 2026. The Elbphilharmonie itself opened in January 2017 after a decade of construction and significant cost overruns. Built atop an existing warehouse structure (the Kaispeicher A), it has become a landmark architectural achievement and a major cultural venue for Hamburg. Designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, the building features a striking glass facade constructed from 1,000 curved glass panels. The Great Hall, renowned for its exceptional acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, seats 2,100 people.
