MOMO., the Japanese rock duo consisting of Momoko Yasuda and Kenichi Kaneko, will be performing at Gretchen in Berlin on September 27, 2026. Their music is characterized by a blend of alternative rock, dream pop, and electronic elements, often featuring prominent bass lines and atmospheric soundscapes. Formed in 2006, MOMO. gained international recognition for their distinctive sound and energetic live performances, having toured extensively across Asia, Europe and North America.

Gretchen is a multifaceted venue located in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district. Originally established as a traditional German *Kneipe* (pub) in the 1970s, it underwent significant renovation in 2011 transforming it into a space accommodating live music events, club nights and art exhibitions. The venue is known for its intimate setting and diverse programming which frequently showcases both established and emerging artists across various genres. Gretchen features a main hall with a capacity of approximately 600 people alongside a smaller club area called “Salon,” offering varied event experiences. The building itself maintains elements of its original architectural character alongside modern additions resulting in an industrial-chic aesthetic.
