Mogwai, a Scottish post-rock band formed in 1995, will be performing at the Stage Theater des Westens in Berlin on November 9, 2026. The Stage Theater des Westens holds a significant place in Berlin’s cultural history. Originally opened in 1906 as the Deutsches Künstlertheater, it quickly became renowned for lavish operetta productions. Throughout its history, it has hosted world premieres of works by composers like Franz Lehár and Oscar Straus. Following damage during World War II, the theater underwent reconstruction and continued to primarily showcase operettas and musicals. In recent decades, it has broadened its programming to include concerts and other large-scale events while retaining its ornate Art Nouveau interior and status as one of Berlin’s most prominent theatrical venues.
