Experience Kathryn Stott live on July 26th

Kathryn Stott is scheduled to perform at the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building in Oxford on July 26, 2026. Stott is a British pianist internationally recognised for her lyrical and sensitive interpretations, particularly of Romantic and 20th-century repertoire. Her playing is often described as possessing a refined touch and a focus on melodic beauty, encompassing composers such as Chopin, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff alongside contemporary works. She frequently collaborates with orchestras and chamber ensembles.

The Jacqueline du Pré Music Building forms part of the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Music. Opened in 2009, it was named in honour of Jacqueline du Pré, the celebrated cellist who studied at the university. The building houses a 400-seat concert hall renowned for its acoustics, practice rooms, teaching spaces and the university’s music library. Its design incorporates elements intended to create an intimate and welcoming environment for both performers and audiences. The building replaced earlier music facilities on St Aldate’s, consolidating the faculty’s resources into a single location. It serves as a central hub for musical activity within the university and hosts numerous performances throughout the year.
