Dirty Three will perform at the Columbia Theater in Berlin, Germany on November 4, 2026. The Australian instrumental band is known for its distinctive post-rock sound, characterized by dynamic shifts between quiet, melodic passages and intense, driving crescendos. Their music frequently incorporates elements of improvisation and draws influence from genres including jazz, blues, and classical music, despite largely eschewing conventional rock structures. Formed in Melbourne in 1992, the core lineup has remained consistent: Warren Ellis (violin, keyboards), Mick Turner (guitar), and Jim White (drums).

The Columbia Theater, located in Berlin-Treptow, possesses a rich history dating back to its opening in 1954 as a cinema. Following German reunification in 1990, it transitioned into a multi-purpose venue hosting theatrical performances, concerts and events. The building underwent extensive renovation in the early 2000s restoring many of its original Art Deco features while modernizing its technical capabilities. It is recognized for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics making it a popular choice for both established and emerging artists. The theater’s capacity is approximately 650 people seated or 800 standing.
