Destroyer, the musical project spearheaded by Dan Bejar, will perform at The Pearl House in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 13, 2026. Destroyer’s music is generally categorized as art rock and baroque pop, characterized by Bejar’s distinctive vocal delivery, complex lyrical arrangements often referencing literature and film, and sophisticated instrumentation incorporating elements of jazz, new wave and orchestral arrangements. Since forming in 1995, the project has released numerous critically acclaimed albums, evolving through various sonic textures while maintaining a consistent artistic vision.

The Pearl House is a relatively new live music venue located in Vancouver's Chinatown. Opened in late 2023, it occupies a historic building previously known as The Penthouse nightclub which operated from 1946-2018 and was a significant landmark for jazz and blues performances in the city. The space underwent extensive renovations to become The Pearl House retaining some of its original architectural features while adapting to modern sound and lighting requirements. It is designed as a mid-sized venue focused on showcasing diverse musical acts with an emphasis on quality sound and intimate concert experiences.
