The concert will take place within the Cisterna of Castelo de Marvão, a historical castle located in the municipality of Marvão, Portugal. The castle itself dates back to the 13th century, built upon foundations from earlier Roman fortifications. Strategically positioned on a granite peak, it played a crucial role in Portugal’s defense during the Reconquista and subsequent conflicts with Spain.

The *cisterna*, or cistern, is an integral part of the castle’s structure – a large underground reservoir designed to store water, vital for sustaining the castle’s inhabitants during sieges.
