Experience Yunchan Lim live on September 10th
Yunchan Lim will perform a solo recital at the Rudolfinum in Prague on September 10, 2026. Lim is a South Korean classical pianist who gained international recognition after winning the 2022 International Chopin Piano Competition. His playing is often described as possessing both technical brilliance and profound musicality, characterized by a mature interpretation beyond his years and a distinctive voicing that emphasizes clarity and emotional depth. He frequently performs works by Chopin, but his repertoire extends to include composers such as Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Beethoven.
The Rudolfinum serves as one of Prague’s foremost cultural institutions and a significant concert venue. Originally built between 1879 and 1884 as the Czech National Museum, it was designed by architect Josef Schulz. While initially intended for museum purposes, its Dvořák Hall quickly became renowned for its exceptional acoustics and hosted the premiere of Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” in 1893.
Throughout its history, the Rudolfinum has been a central location for significant Czech cultural events, including concerts by leading orchestras and soloists, as well as exhibitions and social gatherings.
