Experience Janine Jansen live on February 10th
Janine Jansen is a Dutch violinist internationally recognized for her expressive interpretations and technical brilliance. Her playing is often described as possessing both emotional depth and a refined, lyrical quality, encompassing a broad repertoire from Baroque to contemporary works. She frequently collaborates with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide, and is known for her commitment to exploring diverse musical styles.
The concert on February 10, 2027, will take place at the Rudolfinum in Prague. This historically significant building originally served as the Czech Estate Theatre, opening in 1884. It quickly became a cultural hub, witnessing the Czech premieres of several operas by Bedřich Smetana.
Following substantial reconstruction in the early 20th century, it was repurposed and reopened in 1912 as a modern exhibition palace and concert hall. The Rudolfinum’s Dvořák Hall, where Jansen will perform, is renowned for its excellent acoustics and ornate Art Nouveau interior. It has since become one of Prague’s premier venues for classical music performances, hosting numerous prominent orchestras and soloists throughout its history. The building continues to function as both an exhibition space managed by the Gallery of Fine Arts and a concert hall operated by the Czech Philharmonic.
