Opened in 2019, it serves as a venue for large-scale sporting events – primarily ice hockey as the home arena for HC Sparta Praha – concerts, and exhibitions. The arena has a capacity of approximately 13,000 spectators for sporting events and can be configured to accommodate varying audience sizes for concerts. Its construction involved significant redevelopment of the former Žižkov freight station area, aiming to create a modern entertainment and sports complex within the city. The venue’s name reflects sponsorship by the O2 telecommunications company.
