The Kammermusiksaal, located within the Haus am Waldsee exhibition space in Berlin-Zehlendorf, holds a significant place in the city’s cultural landscape. Originally constructed in 1977 as a private concert hall for conductor Wolfgang Sawallisch, it was designed with specific acoustic properties in mind to facilitate chamber music performances. The hall’s intimate setting – seating approximately 600 people – contributes to its renowned acoustics and provides a close connection between performers and audience. Over the years it has hosted numerous internationally recognized musicians across various genres including classical, early music and jazz.
