Thomas Zehetmair will perform at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead on June 4th, 2027. Zehetmair is a highly regarded Austrian violinist, conductor, and violist known for his intellectually rigorous and intensely focused interpretations of classical repertoire. The Glasshouse, officially opened in November 2023, represents a significant investment in the cultural landscape of the North East of England. It is formed through the renovation and integration of the existing Sage Gateshead and the Northern Stage venues. The project aims to create a national centre for music and performing arts with enhanced accessibility and expanded capacity. The building incorporates two concert halls – the Hall One (approximately 1,950 seats) and Hall Two (approximately 450 seats) – alongside other performance spaces and public areas.
