The Cleveland Orchestra will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany on October 2nd, 2026. Internationally recognized, The Cleveland Orchestra is celebrated for its precision, balance, and distinctive sound, often associated with a warm string tone and clarity of articulation. Throughout its history, the orchestra has maintained a tradition of extensive touring and recordings, earning a reputation as one of the world’s leading ensembles.

The Elbphilharmonie itself opened in January 2017 and has quickly become a landmark architectural and cultural institution. Constructed atop an existing warehouse – the Kaispeicher A – it features a striking glass façade built on a curved base. The concert hall within is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through the innovative “White Skin” interior design developed by Yasuhisa Toyota. This design utilizes digitally modeled plasterboard panels to scatter sound evenly throughout the space.

The building's design was undertaken by Herzog & de Meuron architects and incorporates both public spaces – including a plaza accessible to all – and dedicated performance areas.
