Seattle Symphony, established in 1909, is recognized for its dynamic range of repertoire, encompassing standard orchestral works alongside contemporary compositions and innovative programming. The orchestra frequently commissions new pieces and collaborates with diverse artists across genres. Known for its strong community engagement, the Symphony performs a wide variety of concerts throughout the year, including classical series, pops concerts, and educational programs.

The performance on March 9, 2027 will take place at Benaroya Hall, the current home of the Seattle Symphony since its opening in 1998. Designed by architect Robert M. Stern, Benaroya Hall was conceived as a significant contribution to Seattle’s cultural landscape and to address the need for an acoustically superior concert venue. Its design incorporates a “room within a room” construction to isolate the concert hall from external city noise.

The hall’s S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium is specifically engineered for optimal sound quality, featuring adjustable acoustics that can be tailored to different types of performances. Beyond its role as a performance space for the Symphony, Benaroya Hall also hosts a variety of other events including Broadway shows and lectures.
