PKF - Prague Philharmonia is recognized for its interpretations of classical and romantic repertoire, with a particular focus on works by Czech composers. The orchestra frequently performs music from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, known for its dynamic performances and commitment to historically informed performance practice where appropriate. Founded in 1991, the orchestra has established itself as a leading ensemble within the Czech Republic and internationally through extensive touring and recordings.
The concert on October 8th, 2026 will be held at Prague Castle, a historical complex dating back to the 9th century. The Castle comprises palaces, churches – including St. Vitus Cathedral – gardens and fortifications representing diverse architectural styles including Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. It remains one of the largest ancient castle complexes in the world and is designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
