Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of Italy’s leading orchestras, will perform at Philharmonie Luxembourg on March 8, 2027. The orchestra boasts a rich history dating back to 1585, initially as a musical institution associated with the Roman church of Santa Cecilia, evolving into a full symphony orchestra over centuries. Their repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary works, known for a particularly refined and expressive Italianate sound, emphasizing lyrical phrasing and instrumental balance. The ensemble frequently collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and conductors.

Philharmonie Luxembourg opened in 2005 and is considered a major European concert hall celebrated for its acoustics and architectural design by architects Mecanoo. It serves as the primary venue for classical music performances in Luxembourg and hosts a diverse program encompassing orchestral concerts, chamber music, choral works, and contemporary music. The hall features two main spaces: the Grande Salle Paul Bert Serpette with a capacity of approximately 1,552 seats, and the Chamber Music Hall. It is home to the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg but also welcomes numerous guest orchestras and ensembles throughout the year.
