Daniil Trifonov is scheduled to perform at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on February 19, 2027. He is widely regarded as one of the leading pianists of his generation, known for his intensely emotional and technically brilliant performances. His repertoire spans a broad range, from Romantic composers like Rachmaninoff and Chopin – with whom he is frequently associated – to more contemporary works, often characterized by a searching quality and a willingness to explore complex textures and harmonic language. Trifonov’s playing is often described as possessing both formidable power and lyrical sensitivity.

The Philharmonie Luxembourg opened in 2005 and serves as Luxembourg’s national concert hall. Designed by Paul Wiltzer Architectes and commissioned by the City of Luxembourg, it’s renowned for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through innovative architectural features including a ‘floating’ concert hall structure designed to minimize external vibrations. The main hall, the Grande Salle, has a capacity of approximately 1,300 seats. The Philharmonie hosts a diverse program encompassing orchestral concerts, chamber music, solo recitals, choral performances and contemporary music events; it's also home to the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg.
