Joep Beving is a Dutch composer and pianist known for his neo-classical music, often described as minimalist and emotive. His compositions frequently blend classical piano with ambient textures and subtle electronic elements, creating a soundscape that is both introspective and accessible. Beving gained prominence through self-released recordings on platforms like Spotify, bypassing traditional record label routes initially, and has since released albums through Deutsche Grammophon.

Rockhal, located in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, is a multi-disciplinary cultural venue primarily focused on contemporary music. Opened in 2012, it comprises a concert hall with a capacity of approximately 6,800 standing or 3,800 seated, alongside several smaller club spaces – The Floor and Atelier – catering to more intimate performances. The complex also houses a music information centre and rehearsal rooms intended to support the local music scene. Rockhal is designed to accommodate a wide range of musical genres including rock, pop, metal and electronic music but also hosts classical performances.
