Olga Pashchenko, a Ukrainian pianist recognized for her deeply expressive interpretations of Romantic and 20th-century repertoire, will perform at Rudolfinum in Prague on March 20, 2027. Her playing is often described as possessing both technical brilliance and a poetic sensibility, frequently focusing on composers like Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Scriabin, alongside contemporary Ukrainian composers. Pashchenko’s performances are noted for their nuanced dynamic range and emotional depth.
Rudolfinum serves as one of Prague’s premier concert halls and a significant cultural landmark. Originally built as the Czech Banking Association building between 1879 and 1884 by architect Josef Schulz, its design incorporated elements intended to promote Czech national identity during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The building’s Dvořák Hall, where Pashchenko will perform, is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and ornate interior featuring frescoes by František Čermák.
Throughout its history, Rudolfinum has hosted numerous internationally acclaimed musicians and orchestras. It is also the traditional venue for the Prague Spring International Music Festival’s opening and closing concerts. Beyond musical performances, Rudolfinum houses the Gallery of Modern Art.
