The hall is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through the innovative “Vineyard” design created by Yasuhisa Toyota – a terraced seating arrangement surrounding the stage that aims to create a closer connection between performers and audience members. It has quickly become a major cultural hub for Hamburg and a highly sought-after venue for international orchestras.
