Laeiszhalle’s Großer Saal, the venue for this concert, holds significant cultural importance in Hamburg. Originally opened in 1908, it is considered one of Germany’s finest concert halls due to its exceptional acoustics. Designed by architect Martin Haller, the hall features a traditional “shoebox” shape favored for orchestral and choral music. It underwent extensive renovation between 2017 and 2023, modernizing technical infrastructure while preserving its original architectural character and acoustic properties. The Großer Saal regularly hosts performances by the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and is a key venue for international musical artists. Its capacity is approximately 2,182 seats. The hall's interior incorporates elements of neo-baroque style with rich ornamentation and a prominent ceiling fresco.
