The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, based in Hamburg, Germany, is renowned for its broad repertoire spanning from baroque to contemporary works. Historically rooted in North German Radio’s (NDR) broadcasting tradition, the orchestra maintains a commitment to both orchestral standards and innovative programming, frequently collaborating with internationally acclaimed soloists and conductors. The concert on November 12th, 2026 will take place within the Elbphilharmonie building itself. Opened in January 2017 after a decade of construction and significant cost overruns, the Elbphilharmonie has rapidly become a landmark of Hamburg and a globally recognized concert hall. Designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, the building sits atop an old warehouse (Kaispeicher A) and features a striking glass facade constructed from 1,000 curved glass panels.

The hall’s interior is particularly noted for its “White Skin” – a specially designed acoustic shell created by Yasuhisa Toyota that contributes significantly to the hall's exceptional acoustics.
