The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, based in Hamburg, Germany, is renowned for its broad repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary music, with a particular emphasis on German Romantic composers and a commitment to new compositions. The concert on September 22, 2026, will be held within the Elbphilharmonie building itself – a landmark concert hall completed in 2017 after a decade of construction. Situated in the HafenCity district of Hamburg, the Elbphilharmonie was built atop an existing warehouse structure (the Kaispeicher A) and features a distinctive glass facade designed by Jacques Herzog & Pierre de Meuron.

The hall’s acoustics were designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, aiming for a “white canvas” sound allowing for natural reverberation and clarity. Beyond its primary concert halls, the Elbphilharmonie also incorporates residential apartments, a hotel, and public viewing platforms offering panoramic city views.
