Designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, the building features an innovative acoustic design by Yasuhisa Toyota, aiming for exceptional sound quality within its Grand Hall. The exterior glass façade and wave-like roof have become iconic features of the Hamburg skyline. The hall’s unique “vineyard” seating arrangement wraps around the stage, bringing audience members closer to the performers.
