Maxim Emelyanychev, a Russian countertenor renowned for his virtuosic technique and expressive interpretations of Baroque and classical repertoire, will perform at Usher Hall in Edinburgh on November 26, 2026. He is particularly noted for his work with Il Pomo d’Oro, an orchestra specializing in historically informed performance.

Usher Hall, opened in 1914, is Edinburgh’s principal concert hall and a significant landmark within the city. Designed by Robert Rowand Anderson and completed by his son James Anderson Rowand, it was gifted to the city by Andrew Usher, a prominent Edinburgh brewer. The hall is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics and its ornate Edwardian interior featuring a grand organ built by Henry Willis & Sons.
