Maxim Emelyanychev is a distinguished Russian conductor, harpsichordist, and pianist renowned for his dynamic interpretations of Baroque and Classical repertoire. Born in 1988 in Moscow, Emelyanychev began his musical journey as a prodigious keyboard player before transitioning into conducting. He gained international acclaim as the chief conductor and artistic director of Il Pomo d’Oro, an ensemble specializing in historically informed performances using period instruments.

Emelyanychev’s conducting style is noted for its energetic clarity, stylistic authenticity, and deep understanding of early music traditions.
