Lang Lang will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany on June 8, 2027. Lang Lang is internationally recognized as a highly virtuosic pianist known for his emotive playing and dynamic performances. His repertoire spans a broad range, encompassing classical composers like Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, alongside contemporary works and crossover projects incorporating jazz and pop influences. He is noted for his showmanship and efforts to popularize classical music with a wider audience.

The Elbphilharmonie itself opened in January 2017 after a decade of construction and significant cost overruns. Built atop an existing warehouse structure (the Kaispeicher A), it has become a landmark architectural achievement and a major cultural venue in Hamburg. Its design, by Herzog & de Meuron, features a distinctive glass facade constructed from 1,000 curved glass panels.

The concert hall within boasts exceptional acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, intended to provide an immersive experience for both performers and audience members. The building also houses a smaller recital hall, hotel rooms, residential apartments and public viewing platforms offering panoramic views of the city and harbor.
