Experience Lambchop live on February 13th
Lambchop, the Nashville-based musical project led by Kurt Wagner, will perform at Passionskirche in Berlin on February 13, 2027. Lambchop’s music is often described as a blend of slowcore, country soul, and experimental pop, characterized by Wagner’s distinctive, often spoken-word vocal delivery, lush orchestral arrangements—incorporating strings, horns and keyboards—and a generally melancholic atmosphere. The band has evolved significantly since its formation in 1988, moving from minimalist beginnings to increasingly complex and layered sonic textures.
Passionskirche (Passion Church) is a historically significant Protestant church located in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Completed in 1914, it’s an example of early Expressionist architecture, notable for its striking brick facade and interior design which departs from traditional church aesthetics. During the Nazi era, the church was largely untouched due to its architectural style being deemed “un-German”. In the post-war period and particularly during the Cold War era when Kreuzberg was part of West Berlin, Passionskirche became a focal point for politically engaged parishioners and a center for resistance against authoritarianism.
