Experience Jiyoon Lee live on September 19th
Jiyoon Lee, a South Korean composer and pianist, will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany on September 19, 2026. Lee’s musical style is often described as neo-classical, blending contemporary classical elements with influences from pop, electronic music, and film scores. Her compositions frequently feature intricate piano work alongside orchestral arrangements, exploring themes of memory, identity, and emotional landscapes. She gained prominence through her independently released albums and viral success on platforms like YouTube with pieces such as “FLOWERS.”
The Elbphilharmonie itself is a concert hall in the HafenCity district of Hamburg. Construction began in 2007 and was completed in 2017, significantly over budget and behind schedule. Built atop an existing warehouse (the Kaispeicher A), its distinctive glass structure and wave-like roof have become iconic landmarks. The hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, and houses both the Grand Hall (capable of seating 2,100 people) and the smaller Recital Hall. It serves as the home of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and hosts a diverse range of musical performances throughout the year.
