Built atop an existing warehouse – the Kaispeicher A – it has become a landmark architectural achievement and a major cultural venue. Designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, its distinctive glass façade reflects light across the harbor.

The concert hall within, known for its “White Skin” acoustic design developed by Yasuhisa Toyota, aims to provide optimal sound quality for both performers and audience members. The building also houses a hotel, residential apartments, and public viewing platforms offering panoramic city views.
