Igor Ardašev, a Russian-born pianist recognized for his interpretations of Romantic and early 20th-century composers, particularly Rachmaninoff and Scriabin, will perform at Smetana Hall within the Municipal House in Prague on March 3, 2027. Ardašev’s playing is often characterized by a powerful technique combined with a lyrical sensitivity, frequently drawing comparisons to the traditions of the Russian piano school. He is also known for championing lesser-known works alongside established repertoire.

The Municipal House (Obecní dům) is a significant Art Nouveau building completed in 1912, intended as a representative cultural center for Prague. Smetana Hall, its principal concert venue, is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and lavish interior decoration designed by leading Czech artists of the period. The hall's design incorporates elements inspired by both nature and technological advancements of the time – including stained glass and sculptural ornamentation. It has hosted performances by numerous internationally acclaimed musicians since its opening and remains a central location for classical music events in Prague. The hall’s capacity is approximately 1,400 seats.
