Huntertones will perform at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, Massachusetts on September 4, 2026. The band is recognized for its distinctive blend of instrumental prowess and vocal harmonies, often described as a fusion of jazz, funk, soul, and improvisation. Formed in Bloomington, Indiana while students at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, Huntertones gained prominence through extensive touring and a grassroots following built on energetic live performances and engaging audience interaction. Their compositions frequently feature complex arrangements and showcase the band members’ versatility across multiple instruments.

The Shalin Liu Performance Center opened in 2009 and is situated directly on the Rockport harborfront. It is renowned for its exceptional acoustics specifically designed for chamber music and intimate performances. The center was a gift from the Shalin Liu family and aims to provide a world-class cultural venue for the North Shore community. The building's design incorporates a stainless steel exterior intended to reflect the surrounding ocean environment. It hosts a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, and contemporary music alongside other performing arts events. The hall seats approximately 330 people offering close proximity between performers and audience members.
