Lucía is a Portuguese fado vocalist and guitarist, recognized for her interpretations of traditional fado alongside explorations incorporating jazz and Brazilian music influences. Her style maintains the emotional depth characteristic of fado—often dealing with themes of *saudade* (longing), fate, and urban life—while demonstrating a contemporary approach to arrangement and performance. She frequently performs both solo and with instrumental ensembles.

The Shalin Liu Performance Center is located in Rockport, Massachusetts, within the historic seaside village on Cape Ann. Opened in 2009, the center is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and intimate setting. Designed by architect William Rawn Associates, the hall was specifically engineered to provide a superior listening experience for chamber music, vocal performances, and other acoustic genres. The building’s design incorporates natural materials and large windows offering views of the Atlantic Ocean. It serves as a year-round venue hosting a diverse range of classical, jazz, world music, and theatrical presentations. The center’s commitment to artistic excellence has established it as a significant cultural destination on the North Shore of Massachusetts. The hall seats approximately 330 people.
