Experience Fine Arts Quartet live on September 26th

The Fine Arts Quartet is scheduled to perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany on September 26, 2026. The quartet is recognized for its interpretations of the classical string quartet repertoire, particularly those of Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, and Bartók. Throughout their decades-long career, they’ve cultivated a reputation for technical precision combined with emotional depth and a commitment to historically informed performance practice. Their sound is often described as possessing both warmth and intellectual rigor.

The Elbphilharmonie itself opened in January 2017 and has quickly become a landmark concert hall and architectural icon. Built atop an existing warehouse structure (“Kaispeicher A”), the project faced significant cost overruns and delays during construction. Its design, by Herzog & de Meuron, features a striking glass facade built around the brick base.

The hall’s centerpiece is the Grand Hall, renowned for its exceptional acoustics achieved through the “vineyard” terracing of seating around the stage – a design by Yasuhisa Toyota. This unique configuration aims to create a closer connection between performers and audience members while optimizing sound distribution.
