Federico Colli, an Italian pianist recognized for his interpretations of Romantic and early 20th-century repertoire, will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg on October 28, 2026. Colli’s playing is often described as possessing a lyrical quality, marked by nuanced phrasing and a focus on revealing the structural integrity of compositions. He frequently performs works by composers such as Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms, alongside lesser-known figures. His approach emphasizes both technical precision and emotional depth.

The Elbphilharmonie itself opened in January 2017 after a decade of construction and significant cost overruns. Built atop an existing warehouse structure – the Kaispeicher A – it has quickly become a landmark of Hamburg and a renowned concert venue internationally. Its design, by Herzog & de Meuron, features a striking glass facade constructed from 1,000 curved glass panels.

The building’s central feature is the Grand Hall, known for its exceptional acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota.
