Ensemble Resonanz is a Hamburg-based chamber orchestra renowned for its innovative and genre-bending approach to classical music. The concert will take place at the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg’s iconic concert hall. Opened in January 2017 after a decade of construction and significant cost overruns, the Elbphilharmonie is built atop an historic warehouse (Kaispeicher A) in the HafenCity district. Its distinctive glass structure and wave-like roof have quickly made it a landmark of the city. The hall’s primary venue, the Grand Hall, boasts exceptional acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, achieved through innovative “white skin” plaster technology.

The building aims to be publicly accessible with a publicly accessible plaza offering panoramic views of the city and harbor.
