The Eben Trio is a renowned Czech classical music ensemble specializing in chamber music arrangements, particularly known for their interpretations of works originally composed for other instruments or vocal ensembles. Their style blends traditional classical performance with elements of jazz and folk influences, resulting in a distinctive and accessible sound. The group consists of violinist Jan Talich, cellist Petr Nouzák, and pianist Igor Artyomov.
St Agnes’ Convent (Český Krumlov) dates back to the 13th century, founded in 1283 by Euphemia of Krumlov. Originally a Poor Clares convent, it served as a significant religious and cultural center for centuries. Following its dissolution during the Hussite Wars in the early 15th century, the convent experienced periods of varying use including serving as a hospital and later falling into disrepair. Extensive reconstruction took place in the late 19th and early 20th centuries restoring much of its original Gothic architecture.
